Context

As a Student Assistant under Prof. Pai Zheng at PolyU, I contributed to a wireless teleoperation and motion-capture glove as part of the group's research and entrepreneurship-related projects.

My contribution

01

Developed ESP32-S3 firmware to poll 11 WT901/JY901S inertial sensors over a shared I²C bus, with dual-hand motion data streamed over ESP-NOW to a USB receiver.

02

Contributed to Windows flashing and pairing tools and magnetometer-calibration tools, connecting embedded development with a usable PC workflow.

03

Investigated IMU drift and wireless packet loss, supported acceptance testing and staged firmware releases, and assisted the transfer to small-batch production with vendor acceptance.
